Alex slipped past the glass sliding doors into the mall. He stroked the back of his neck, and walked around. He thought of what he could buy with the $20 he had. Then he thought of Leeah. A grin appeared on his face as he entered the jewerly store, Stephany's Frosting.

Jack rolled his head as he went down the escalator. He had a bruise and scar forming on the nape of his neck. Walking slowly through the food court, the smell of pizza fluttered through his nostrils. He grinned and stalked to the direction of the fragrance. He stopped abruptly, taking notice of the bathroom to the side of the pizza stand. He ran through the crowds, making his way to the bathroom. There was only one vacant stall, his ticket. He slipped through and concentrated on his figure. It blurred, and instantly he took the shape of a boy about the same age as himself. Once again, he slipped through the stall door and ran back to the food court. The corner of his lips currled up into a wry grin as he stood in front of the free sample table next to the pizza stand.
I know this random guy looks older, but this is sorta what Alex looks like.

Alex stalked out of the store, playing with he necklace he had bought for Leeah. He spun it around, twisting the chain and fingering the crystal heart that hung from it. The fragrance of pizza swirled around him as he took in the scent. He carefully placed the nacklace back into the plastic bag and walked over to the pizza stand. He pulled back his sleeve and looked at his watch. He had plenty of time before he met Leeah at the lake. Alex stepped in line, and waited.

The table was laid out with small platters of pizza bites in all different flavors that the stand offered. Jack eagerly snatched up the platter after asking the manager. He licked his lips as he walked over to the bench near the stand. His eyes were glued to the mini-pizzas as he sat down casually on the bench. His stomach growled as he started to devour the samples.

Alex grabed a sample of their pepperoni pizza. He carred it over to a bence and sat down. He layed the bag on the extra space next to him and picked up the piece of pizza. He took a bite, and then realized the boy sitting next to him. With a mouthful of food, he turned to look over at him. His mouth then fell open, and his eyes narrowed.

Jack looked up, noticing someone sitting next to him with a leery expression on his face. Mid-chew, JAck scooched over, thinking that that was what was wrong. After doing so, Jack went back to savoring the tiny morsels of pizza.

Alex swallowed the chunk of pizza in his mouth and stood up, crossing his arms. He looked down at the boy that looked identical to him. He cleared his throat and said, "Is there something you want to tell me, Alex."

Jack looked up at the boy. "Uhm, nooooooooooooo.", he said as if he were asking him if that were the correct answer. Jack looked down and popped another chunk into his mouth, carrying on with his thoughts. His mind completely blocked out the boy who was standing right next to him, narrowing his eyes at him.

Alex were extremely mad now. He raised his voice as he spoke again, but he kept it quiet enough so that no one else could hear. "Don't you think it is a little weird that we look like each other!?" he blared.

"Oh CRAP!", Jack exclaimed as the thought sunk into his brain. He crammed the remaining piece into his mouth and wiped his hands on his jeans. He gulped down the chunk and frowned. "Erm, sorry...", Jack murmered. "Uhm..., bye.", Jack said as he was about to leave the scene.

Jack turned reluctantly, but his mind caught something. Wait a second... he just streatched his arm!, Jack thought as his jaw fell to the floor. "Uhm, I don't think we should talk about it here." Jack cleared his throat. He narrowed his eyes, "It is something not everyone should know." But as he was talking Jack's eyes widened and his voice cracked in a hushed whisper, "YOU GO THERE TOO!"

Alex blinked and realized what he had done. He released the extra length of his arm, and rested it at his side. Then the meaing of Jack's words dawned on him. "I don't care what your power or excuse is," he whispered harshly. "You have absolutely no right to go and morph yourself into other people, like me, for instance!" Out of anger he checked his watch again. He still had two hours before he had to meet with Leeah, but he wanted to get away from this guy. "I have to go, I guess I'll see you at the Academy." With his last word, he turned around and stormed out of the mall.
